The company specializes in pressure vessels and piping systems, fuel storage tanks, fish processing, winches and lift equipment, machined parts, custom products, metallic enclosures, mobilization and demobilization of Offshore supply vessels, diving equipment and ROV's.

D.F. Barnes Ltd.'s industrial facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment and services, including fully equipped machine and welding shops, overhead crane systems and forklifts, as well as a laydown yard of over 30,000 square feet. The company also offers quality portable equipment to improve customer servicing and response times.

D.F. Barnes operates out of three main facilities. Its primary location is on Sudbury St. in downtown St. John's in close proximity to its marine and offshore customers. The company's aluminum and stainless steel facility is on Mundy Pond Rd. in St. John's where a 30 foot self-propelled aluminum barge for the Canadian Coast Guard is currently being built. D.F. Barnes also has preferred access to the Bay Bulls Marine Terminal fabrication facility and laydown storage area consisting of over 12 acres with a 90 metre finger and 11 metre water depth.

Fully certified, D.F. Barnes Ltd. can design and manufacture machined and metal products to customer specification utilizing a variety of metals. The company's commitment is further demonstrated through the implementation of the internationally recognized ISO 9001-2000 quality management system and we have an NLCSA Certificate of Recognition.
